A TRIBUTE TO HANS BERG

Hans was taken from us on Thursday, March 7th 2019, in a tragic accident. Many of you knew him from his work as a photographer with the Powder Addiction family and an expert skier. Many of you knew him as a community activist and co-founder of Friends of Clear Creek. Many of you heard him share his thoughts on the radio at K-Goat. Many of you met him and heard him speak in community meetings, opposing the gravel pit or encouraging eco-tourism. Many of you crossed paths with him while hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. Many of you raised a glass with him at a local brew pub. Hans lived life to the fullest! We celebrate his life and legacy.

Hans, our dear friend, our hearts are broken at losing you so suddenly.

You had a powerful effect on everyone who knew you.

Your intelligence, intellect, and creativity were only matched by your passion for the environment and your spirit of adventure.

You were a friend, an advocate, a warrior, and a kindred-spirit.

Our entire mountain community has suffered a painful loss - You were a bright light – Our world is dimmer and emptier today without you.

Every falling tear is a testament to how you impacted our lives.

Hans, you were loved, and you will be missed.

You are in Gods loving hands now.
